We’ll all jump on a roughly 30 minute call to discuss your project goals and make sure we will make great partners.
Together we will dive deeper into your project and your business objectives. Then we will make a detailed project plan and quote for you to review.
Once the project agreement is approved and the initial deposit is made, we’ll get to work on our efficient 4 step design process.
We always present multiple options during the concept phase to make sure you see different possibilities and pick the best fit for your brand.
We help you outline what you should communicate on each page of your website or each section on a design piece to ensure the audience will read, shop, click, or remember what you want them to.
Checking in with our clients and making sure they know what is going on through each step of the process — without having to ask — is one of our main tenets.
Check out our First Things First section to see the first steps to the process. The bid process is always free, and we work hard to make it fast, simple to understand, and include pricing options for you to choose from. First we jump on a short discovery phone call to learn about your project and answer any questions that you have. We go over your specific goals for the project, your likes/dislikes about your current website, brand, or other deliverable that we will be tackling, and we will educate you on software, marketing ideas, and other tools that you have questions about.
Second, we put together a detailed project plan and quote for you to review. We can always go back on forth on the deliverables to make sure that the plan fits perfectly for your business, and your budget.
Finally, once the plan and budget is approved and we receive the initial deposit, we get straight to work!
Our website has a nice Plan a Project tool allows you to very roughly choose from a short list of services and move numbers around to get a very basic idea of our pricing. If you would like a tailored quote based on your specific project, send us a message, or give us a call and we can discuss your ideas and then put together a quick estimate for you, no strings attached.
It is super common that prospective clients of all sizes are unsure of what type of website platform they should be using. We will gladly go over options based on your specific needs and make recommendations based on them. We have no problem freely educating prospective clients on the tools that are available. This is true for branding projects, marketing projects, social media management, photography, etc. We will always educate and do our due diligence to make sure we are giving you the best recommendations tailored to your business. If lots of research or prolonged strategy or consultations are needed, we will charge an hourly rate for the additional service and then credit any time back to you if a project comes out of it.
It can vary depending on the scale of your website, how many pages, type and complexity of content, if it an ecommerce site or not, and if you already have content written and ready to go. We estimate projects based on how long it will take our team to work, what we call active weeks. Small websites generally take 4-6 active weeks, medium websites 6-10, and large websites 10+. We always want to work as efficiently as possible, when means the more attentive to the project that you are, the faster your website will get done. This includes making decisions on concepts quickly, delivering content that is ready to plug in, and sticking to the meeting and check-in schedule that we will make ahead of time.
Our rebrand process includes a discovery meeting, styleboard concepts, logo concepts, and delivery of the final logo with asset package and a styleguide that shows you how to utilize your new brand for various applications. On our end, we have around 4 active weeks of work.
A full rebrand with 3 logo concepts, corresponding brand assets, a styleguide, etc, start around $3,000. In some limited cases when we are just creating a logo or refreshing a logo on an existing brand, they start around $1,500.
We have half and full day rates for photography, but for our existing clients we also provide photography at an hourly rate and are known to pop in and shoot content quickly and efficiently once we know your brand’s style. Send an email and we’d be glad to share our rate sheet with you.
This varies greatly depending on factors such as — length of video, amount of film time, if studios/sets need to be rented, if we are adding drone video, etc. Social media web videos, brand story videos, customer testimonials, hero videos for the top of your website, and product videos are a few examples of the types of work we do. We can whip up a ballpark estimate very quickly if you send us what you are looking for.
This varies greatly based on scale, functionality, and design. We have written a blog post about Factors That Determine Website Cost. Websites start at $7,500.
We know from experience that fixed-price contracts are rarely beneficial to you, as they often limit you to your earliest ideas. We don't want to limit your ability to change your mind or make decisions later when you might be better informed, or have new ideas. Our project agreements are based on the length of time we estimate we'll need to accomplish everything you've told us you want to achieve, but we're happy to be flexible. If you want to change your mind or add anything new, that won't be a problem as we'll provide a separate estimate for to cover the additional work — no blindsiding or any nonsense like that.
The number of revisions are typically covered in our project agreements, with 2 or 3 being the norm. After that, or if additional concepts or revisions are requested, we will provide a separate estimate to cover the additional work, which you can approve before we begin.
Depending on the scope, projects will be billed in either two 50% or three 33% payments based on reaching specific milestones in the project. For small projects or simple deliverables, we will either charge hourly or give you a bid. We then bill at either two 50% payments or bill once work is completed.
Fantastic question! We will use different platforms depending on our clients needs, if they want to be able to edit and add pages themselves, if the site has an ecommerce component, CRM capabilities, and other factors as well. Our most common platforms include Wordpress and Shopify.
We can definitely make that happen. Often times, there is a short catch-up period while all the new pages are getting established in google search ranking. We would go over all of this during the project bidding phase but what we do is we will audit your site to see what content and pages are boosting your SEO, and make sure we migrate and preserve that content for your new site. This usually includes migrating lots of blog content, and redirecting pages that are not getting rebuilt.
We do not offer copywriting in house, but we can recommend copywriters. Written content generation is always one of the biggest time and energy commitment required from our clients and many decide they would rather just have it handled by a professional.
